Park's Success With Seeds
Published in Hardcover by Scribner (June, 1982)
Average review score:

A Must for Master Gardeners / Greenhouse KeepersExcellent resource for those interested in greenhouse gardening, or starting plants from seed. Intro provides soil, potting and procedural guidence - and the bulk of the book details the characteristics of A LOT of plants that propogate via seeds (and even a section on ferns and spores). Excellent photos of each plant - which makes it a great reference for garden designers as well. Honestly, it's hard to say enough good about this book.

Parks Directory of the United States & Canada : A Guide to Nearly 5,000 National, State, Provincial, and Urban Parks in the United States and Canada
Published in Hardcover by Omnigraphics, Inc. (November, 2001)
Average review score:

An excellent referenceThe price tag may limit this reference to the most dedicated reference library; but this new 2001 edition updates a reference which has not seen a new edition in seven years: there are many changes to contact information and details on facilities, activities, and special features have also changed. This edition of Parks Directory Of The United States also enjoys web site and e-mail addresses where possible, and adds four indexes by type of park, special features, geography and all park listings. An excellent reference.

Pasta for All Seasons: 125 Vegetarian Pasta Recipes for Family and Friends
Published in Paperback by Harvard Common Pr (01 November, 2000)

Simple, Elegant and Imaginative!I was given a copy of Pasta for All Seasons just in time for a December trip to Tuscany, where my wife's mother has been living. I don't cook a lot but I risked all in this land of pasta expertise by preparing several pasta meals from Pasta for All Seasons. The smacking lips, toasts to the chef, and endlessly enthusiastic reviews from those in attendance told me I was really on to something. Pasta for All Seasons is a real find!

Pavlovsk: The Palace and the Park, the Collections
Published in Hardcover by Antique Collectors Club (November, 1997)
Average review score:

The Jewel in the Crown of NeoclassicismAny potential buyer would be well advised to ignore the other review, which denied me the pleasures of this two-volume set for too long. While intended for the connoisseur or scholar, it has plenty of eye candy for the aficionado of glossy picture books and shelter magazines. Pavlovsk is the jewel in the crown of neoclassicism. Roughly contemporaneous with Monticello, it reveals Jefferson as a semi-talented, rustic amateur. By contrast, the buildings and park of Pavlovsk were designed by Charles Cameron, perhaps the greatest architect of the period. Pavlovsk's owner, the Empress Maria Fyodorovna, combined unlimited resources with exquisite taste and real talent as an artisan. The results are admirably documented in this two-volume set. Outdoors, vistas to delight from every vantage point; inside, one ravishing interior after the other, all filled with furniture, art and objects of the finest quality and often great historical interest. Best of all, the set captures the unique spirit of Pavlovsk. Opulent enough for a royal residence, the palace was nevertheless built on a sufficiently modest scale that even the twenty-first century reader can imagine himself or herself living happily ever after in its rooms and green spaces. A must for the library of any serious student of the decorative arts and architecture of the eighteenth century.

Peekaboo Park: A Lift-The-Flap Book (Lift-The-Flap Book)
Published in Hardcover by Friedman/Fairfax Publishing (April, 2001)
Average review score:

My Son's Favorite Book!!!I got this for my 10 month old son, and he absolutely loves it! It is very brightly colored with big bold illustrations that babies love! It is written and illustrated by the same women who did "Peekaboo Zoo" and it looks similar (since no image is available for this one). The only problem we had was him pulling off two of the flaps, but I easily glued them back on and it looks good as new. Most babies are rough with books!!! He will crawl over to it and choose it over 10 others. It has a cute rhyming text that is question and answer type (not too long for a baby's attention span). Example- 'Who's in this flower warm and snug?' (pull down flower-shaped flap for answer) 'Peekaboo' 'It's lady bug!' All of the flaps are shaped to blend in with the background. The pages are pretty sturdy--not actual board book pages, but stiff glossy paper. The cover is hardcover and durable. Highly recommended! You will not be disappointed. Lamaze books are very high quality!
